The Army’s 3rd Infantry (Spearhead) Division aided the Provincial Government of Capiz and partner stakeholders in Aklan Province during the hauling of relief assistance intended for the typhoon victims in Luzon on December 20 and December 25, 2020, respectively.

The Philippine Air Force’s C130 aircraft brought a total of 63 tons of relief supplies from Kalibo International Airport to Tuguegarao City Airport. Aklan Baghay Inc., Aklan Police Provincial Office, Kiwanis Club of Kalibo, Jewels and Blue Diamonds, and Pass Fast Cargo contributed a total of 55 tons, while Capiz Provincial Government contributed eight (8) tons.

The activity, according to Major General Eric C. Vinoya, Commander, 3ID, demonstrates the Spearhead Troopers’ commitment to fulfilling their responsibility of serving the people at all times.

“Our soldiers, with the overwhelming support of our stakeholders, are always ready to extend a helping hand, especially during trying times when they need us most. We are always ready to perform combat and disaster response mission,” MGen Vinoya said.
