1st Gallant Youth For Peace Orientation successfully organized in Sulu by Gallant Troopers

Recently, the first Gallant Youth For Peace Orientation (Bangkal Chapter) Batch-1-2021 and Awards for “Tausug Heroes” was successfully held in Brgy. Pangdanon, Patikul, Sulu.

The event was organized by Gallant Troopers under the leadership of LtC Vicente B. Mabborang Jr. INF GSC PA in collaboration with the 1102nd Infantry “GANARUL” Brigade led by BGen Benjamin G. Batara Jr. PA and the good father of Patikul, Hon. Kabir E. Hayudini.

Gallant Youth For Peace Orientation was attended by twenty active youth from Sitio Amman, Baunoh and Moreno of Brgy. Bangkal, Patikul, Sulu. It aims to shape their potential abilities to be a good leader in their community. The program also aims to divert them from evil activities such as addiction to bad habits or drugs and association with ASG terrorists. Despite the short time, the participants were able to demonstrate and share their abilities and intelligence. It can be said that the said program has achieved its set objectives.

On the other hand, in the midst of the tragedy that occurred in PAF C-130 that took place in Brgy. Bangkal, many civilians, soldiers and CAA showed exceptional heroism that was admired by the whole world. Due to this, Mayor Hayudini along with other agencies in the town of Patikul were honored and extended his help to the so-called “Tausug Heroes” in gratitude and admiration for their courage and dedication to help others. Five members of the 45IB were among those honored in recognition of the immediate assistance provided by the battalion.

The entire army of the 45th Infantry (Gallant) Battalion is sincerely grateful to the youth who participated in the Gallant Youth For Peace Orientation and to the brave Tausug Heroes.

The event aims to inspire other young people to be responsible citizens of Patikul. The holding of such activities also proves the strong association of the Armed Forces of the Philippines, LGU and the people of Sulu.
