PTF-ELCAC sustains peace and security efforts in Zamboanga del Sur

At the recently concluded 3rd Quarter Joint Provincial Peace and Order Council (PPOC) – Provincial Anti-Drug Abuse Council (PADAC) Meeting held at Balay Bisaya, Provincial Government Complex, Barangay Dao, Pagadian City on July 16, 202, the Provincial Government of Zamboanga del Sur and the Philippine Army’s 53rd Infantry “Matapat” Battalion (53IB) continued to uphold peace and security initiatives.

Among the topics that were discussed included security updates from the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) which was shared by 53IB Commanding Officer Lt. Col. Jo-ar Herrera, updates from the Philippine National Police (PNP) headed by Provincial Director PCol. Roel Lami-ing, and updates from the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency.

The Joint PPOC and PADAC meeting was spearheaded by Governor Victor Yu, 2nd District Board Member John Regala, DILG IX Provincial Director Moh. Taha Arakama, Municipal Mayors, and officers of Sangguniang Panlalawigan of Peace and Order.
