The Provincial Government of Zamboanga del Sur gave rice allowance to twenty-five CAFGU Active Auxiliaries (CAAs) of the Philippine Army’s 53rd Infantry “Matapat” Battalion based in Ticala Island Patrol Base in San Pablo town as part of its “Better Life: Adopt-a-CAFGU Project” on Monday, July 26, 2021.

ZamboSur Board Member for Peace and Order John Regala was accompanied by 53IB Executive Officer and Delta Company Commander Cpt. Bahnarin Camsa.

The CAAs were interviewed by BM Regala and Cpt. Camsa in order to improve their morale and determine their challenges and concerns.

Similarly, the City Government of Pagadian and the Philippine Army’s 53IB continue to advance 53IB’s “Better Life: Adopt-a-CAFGU Program” in Muricay and Palpalan Patrol Bases by providing four and 1/2 sacks of rice to each of the detachments.

City Administrator Engr. Joseph Quipot also asked the CAAs about their proposed livelihood.

This effort is part of the 53IB’s goal of becoming a world-class Army that is a source of national pride by 2028, as outlined in the Army Transformation Roadmap (ATR).
