The Army’s 97th Infantry “Kalasaglahi” Battalion (97th IB) and the Zamboanga del Norte Provincial Mobile Force Company (ZNPMFC) Community Support Program (CSP) of Barangay Bagumbayan, Sergio Osmeña Sr, Zamboanga Del Norte continues to conduct various activities for the development and sustainment of the said barangay, which has been cleared of Communist Terrorist Groups.

On July 29, 2021, the CSP team held many events for the residents of the abovementioned barangay in order to maintain the cleared barrio that was previously invaded by the Communist Terrorist Group CPP-NPA.

To preserve the highest health protocol, the first action was to distribute face masks to the mentioned resident before the major event began.

The second event was the grand Pulong-pulong and distribution of leaflets for the purpose of disseminating important information, particularly the status of the COVID-19 pandemic, and the CSP team reminded them to maintain and value the government’s health protocol. At the same time, the CSP team discussed the Barangay Ordinance for the community’s safety.

Last but not least, the conduct of Basic Learning to the young learners of the said barangay in order to continue developing programs to improve the reading skills of all young children in the said barangay, particularly those from economically disadvantaged homes and communities, as well as children with special needs.

As part of the National Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (NTF-ELCAC)’s whole-of-nation approach, it bridges the gap between the government and the community that was cleared of the Communist Terrorist Group through the convergence strength of different Government Agencies (GOs) and Non-Governmental Organizations (NGO’s).
