Lieutenant General Jose Faustino Jr., Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), praised the Northern Luzon Command for their unwavering peace and security efforts to keep the Communist Terrorist Group (CTG) out of the area.

On August 8, LtGen Faustino paid a personal visit to NOLCOM in Camp Servillano Aquino, Tarlac, to applaud the command’s recent victories against state foes and to congratulate them on their achievement in stakeholder management.

“On the average, three (3) NPAs yield to NOLCOM everyday and one (1) firearm is being surrendered. I am confident that we will be able to declare most areas here insurgency-free by the end of this year,” said LtGen Faustino.

The consecutive neutralization of numerous high-value individuals, including Rosalino Canubas, Renato Busania, Rommel Tucay, and Neptali Santos, is one of NOLCOM’s recent victories against the CTG.

NOLCOM was also effective in forming alliances with other government organizations and private businesses to offer goods and services to individuals in need. These collaborations resulted in the construction and renovation of school facilities, as well as the proper distribution of critical social welfare and healthcare services.

Under the excellent leadership of their Commander, LtGen Arnulfo Marcelo Burgos Jr., the AFP Chief encouraged both military and civilian staff of NOLCOM to maintain their momentum in regulating the peace environment in the area.

“We would have to give and endure many sacrifices in our profession, but we are confident that the nobility of the profession of arms should continue to inspire us to carry on in our selfless service to this great nation and our fellow Filipinos,” the AFP Chief stated.
