Marlon signed and swore an Oath of Allegiance in the presence of Gov. Yu, the solemnizing officer, during the activity. Dimataling MTF-ELCAC, led by Dimataling mayor Avelino Yrauda, the Philippine Army’s 53rd Infantry “Matapat” Battalion (53IB), led by 53IB Commanding Officer Lt. Col. Jo-ar Herrera, and Dimataling PNP, led by PMaj. Herminigildo Bajao Jr., all worked together to secure his surrender.

A delegation from the Zamboaga del Sur Police Provincial Office led by PMaj Leonel Roncesvalles, as well as RID9, 1st Cavalry Battalion (1CAV), and 53IB’s Charlie Company, were present as Marlon was presented to Gov. Yu.

In September 2019, the KARA Guerilla Front was disbanded.
