8ID neutralized 19 CNTs, seized firearms in Eastern Samar

Troops from the 8th Infantry “Stormtrooper” Division on Monday (August 16, 2021) collided  with CPP-NPA Terrorists (CNT) in Dolores, Eastern Samar, resulting in the death of 19 enemy personalities and the confiscation of high and low powered guns.

The forces from the 801st Brigade, 52nd Infantry Battalion confronted approximately 70 CNTs, resulting in a day-long operation. Close air and fire support were provided to shield troops from anti-personnel mines (APM).

There were 32 high-powered firearms, one low-powered firearm, a hand grenade, and eight APMs among the things seized.

The timely and exact operations taken against the adversaries resulted in decisive engagement and the operation’s success with no civilian or government casualties.

The Philippine Army maintains its efforts to keep the peace in the communities and protect them from state adversaries.
