Solano elders receive pension benefits from DSWD

The indigent senior citizens in Solano, Nueva Vizcaya recently received pension benefits from the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD).

The P3,000 stipend for senior citizen, according to Mayor Eufemia Dacayo, will cover the months of July to December 2021.

“We thank the DSWD for giving this assistance to our poor elderlies. The earlier the better for them to spend for their needs especially this time of COVID-19 pandemic,” she said.

The Social Pension Program offers disadvantaged elders with financial assistance of P500.00 per month to help them meet their daily necessities and cover the costs of other medical needs.

The distribution of pension compensation for the eldelries took place in their respective barangays.
