Philippine Air Force responds to Mandaluyong fire

The Philippine Air Force S-76A Nr 206 from the 505th Search and Rescue Group has successfully evacuated people trapped at the Metro Tower Building in Mandaluyong City which caught fire on Thursday, September 2, 2021.

A total of 96 civilians were rescued from the top of Mega Tower building. The S-76A helicopter transported the stranded occupants from the roof top of Metro Tower and airlifted them to safety at the rooftop of Megamall. The Helicopter made a total of 15 shuttles to and from the said buildings saving precious lives.

The fire out declaration was made at about 3:50 PM.
