2 NPA members peacefully surrender aboard Philippine Navy vessel

The Naval Forces Central through Naval Task Group 2 deployed at Joint Task Force Storm area of responsibility, together with 63rd Infantry Battalion of the Philippine Army and Naval Intelligence Service Unit – Central successfully organized the peaceful surrender of two members of the CPP-NPA-Terrorists (CNTs) aboard the Philippine Navy Vessel BRP Alfredo Peckson (PC372) on September 10, 2021.

Two firearms (1-M16A1 and 1-M14) and three magazines with 34 rounds of ammunition were surrendered by the two surrenderees. They were handed over to the 63rd IB, PA for debriefing, E-CLIP processing, and other programs including livelihood support.

This exercise demonstrates the military’s effectiveness in combating the Communist Terrorist Group (CTG). The combined efforts of the AFP and other law enforcement agencies continue to assist communist terrorists in peacefully returning to the folds of the law.
