53IB Commanding Officer recognizes CAAs in distant command post

During his visit to Cogonan Patrol Base, a remote patrol base in the town of Labangan, Zamboanga del Sur, the Commanding Officer of the Philippine Army’s 53rd Infantry “Matapat” Battalion (53IB), Lt. Col. Jo-ar Herrera, awarded Certificates of Recognition and Letters of Commendation as part of his commitment to keep the CAFGU Active Auxiliaries (CAAs) motivated to do their mandate of serving the people.

CAA Avelino Balang and CAA Aurelio Macatulad received Certificates of Recognition for their 25 and 30 years of invaluable service and dedication to duty as members of Citizen Armed Forces Geographical Unit (CAFGU) Delta Company, 53IB,¬†which contributed greatly to the unit’s mission accomplishment.

Letters of Commendation were also given to CAA Edgar Arante, Edgar Arante, Gilbert Asdolo, Gilbert Balang, Ricky Balang, Wennie Bantayan, Roberto Bantulinay, Lucio Bicagas, Mandrile Cabiling, Marlon Cabiling, Artemio Cano, Rene Dalansay, Warlito Gumitao, Antonio Intapa, Ferdinand Lumilis , Romeo Mandawan, Marito Sandigon, CAAThata Sandigon, Lemuel Suhay, and CAA Nardo Tabar for their untiring efforts and significant contribution for the dismantling of Regional Urban Committee (RUC), Regional Operational Command (ROC) of the Western Mindanao Regional Party Committee (WMRPC).

Lt. Col. Herrera in his message inspired and motivated the CAAs to perform their respective duties.

“We will not fail to recognize your efforts and sacrifices. You have done and served well the people of Cogonan,” said Lt. Col. Herrera.
