The Naval Forces Southern Luzon, through its Civil-Military Operations Unit – Southern Luzon (CMOU-SL), Naval Special Operations Unit – 3 (NAVSOU-3) and Naval Reserve Center – Southern Luzon (NRCEN-SL), took part in the observation of the Maritime Archipelagic Nation Awareness Month (MANA Mo) organized by the Women in Maritime Philippines Bikol Chapter on Saturday, September 18, 2021, with its initial project of “Scubasurero.”

This activity takes place in conjunction with the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR)’s International Coastal Clean-Up (ICC) Day, which has the theme “Understand and Beat Maritime Pollution.”

On September 18, 2021, the abovementioned activity took place along the shorelines of Rawis, Arimbay, and Puro in Legazpi City, Albay (along the Albay Gulf).

Team NAVFORSOL, in collaboration with several partner organizations, recognizes the necessity of valuing the environment and responding to the garbage problem plaguing Albay’s seabeds and shoreline.
