The Philippine Army (PA) fielded a contingent to the Seoul International Aerospace and Defense Exhibition (Seoul ADEX) 2021, which took place from October 17 to 21, 2021 at Seoul Air Base in South Korea.

Seoul ADEX 2021 is a biennial event that includes a variety of activities such as exhibitions of cutting-edge weapons systems and equipment, academic symposiums, and other defense-related activities.

The Philippine Army Chief of Staff, Maj. Gen. Roberto Capulong, led the delegation from the Philippines. They were able to network and have access to the most up-to-date capabilities in the ground, naval, and aerospace domains as a result of the exercise.

Lt. Gen. Andres C. Centino, the Commanding General of the Philippine Army, underlined the importance of the PA contingent’s participation.

“Our contingent to the ADEX in Seoul, South Korea is to get valuable information about the new technologies in defense hardware and equipment that will be useful in planning the procurement of military hardware for the Philippine Army,” underscored Lt. Gen. Centino.

“The Philippine Army is geared towards the modernization and development of its capabilities. This endeavor strengthens our defense posture and enables us in dealing with the fast-evolving nature of security threats in our country and region,” added Lt. Gen. Centino.
