Lt. Gen. Andres Centino, Army Commanding General, led the ceremonial demilitarization of captured, confiscated, surrendered, and recovered firearms at the 6th Infantry Division (6ID) headquarters in Datu Odin Sinsuat, Maguindanao on Tuesday, October 26, 2021.

The ceremony is one of the highlights of the Philippine Army’s principal infantry division in Central Mindanao’s 34th founding anniversary celebrations.

The CGPA complimented 6ID troops headed by Maj. Gen. JuvyMax Uy for seizing 779 assorted firearms, 291 anti-personnel mines, and explosives from state adversaries, as well as the relinquishing of 86 high-powered and 94 low-powered loose firearms.

“These achievements greatly impact the enemy’s capability to generate resources, thus significantly reducing their ability to commit atrocities,” Lt. Gen. Centino said.

“Your invaluable contributions bring us closer to our collective goal of attaining just and lasting peace and enduring security that will pave the way for sustainable development,” he concluded.
