Anti-personnel mines and other CTG war materials were discovered and seized by joint elements from the Army’s 31st Infantry Battalion (31IB), 22nd Infantry Battalion (22IB), and 903rd Infantry Brigade under the 9th Infantry Division and the Sorsogon Police Provincial Office (SPPO) in Bulan, Sorsogon, on October 26, 2021.

Two anti-personnel mines with 13 casings, one anti-tank mine, a binocular, 53 Molotov bomb cases, 66-meter electrical wire, and other bomb-making equipment were captured by government troops.

Lt. Gen. Andres C. Centino, the Commanding General of the Philippine Army, praised the forces’ successful operation and underlined the importance of creating positive relationships with the community in order to eliminate local threats.

“Congratulations to our troops for doing an excellent job in locating and confiscating the CTG war materials. We need to stop the flow of resources to the armed group so that they can no longer recruit or mobilize their forces which will eventually lead to their total defeat,” said Lt. Gen. Centino.
