Aeroscout Company conducts leadership transport missions to Sulu, Tawi-Tawi

The Army Aviation Regiment’s Special Mission Aviation (Aeroscout) Company in Cotabato City successfully completed back-to-back leadership transport operations to Sulu and Tawi-Tawi last week.

Two Army aviators flew Brig. Gen. Romulo Manuel Jr., commander of the Army Artillery (King of Battle) Regiment, from Zamboanga City to Jolo, Sulu, and back. On the same day, the Army Artillery Regiment Commander attended the 8th Field Artillery Battalion’s anniversary.

On October 26, 2021, the Aeroscout Company also took Transportation Minister Dickson Hermoso of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region for Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) from Zamboanga City to Tawi-tawi and back.

The Philippine Army Aviation (Hiraya) Regiment has the capability of transporting senior leaders. Regular transport missions indicate Army aviators’ developing capacity to respond quickly to aerial requirements of ground operational units, particularly field unit commanders.
