Following a fight with CPP-NPA Terrorists (CNT) in Jabonga, Agusan del Norte on October 29, 2021, operating troops of the Army’s 29th Infantry Battalion of the 4th Infantry Division seized a high-powered firearm.

The troops came into roughly ten (10) CNTs, which resulted in a 10-minute battle and the confiscation of an M16 rifle at the encounter site.

Lt. Gen. Andres C. Centino, the Commanding General of the Philippine Army, praised the forces’ efforts that resulted in the successful recovery of weaponry.

“To the troops of the 29th Infantry Battalion, sustain your momentum in eradicating the threat within your areas of operation. Rest assured that as you support our communities, we will always have your back,” said Lt. Gen. Centino.
