After the successful ceremonial signing of the memorandum of agreement (MOA) between the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) and the local government unit (LGU) of Pakil, Laguna on Thursday, November 11, 2021, the PCG is poised to establish the PCG Sub-Station Pakil in Barangay Burgos.

The MOA signing for the PCG’s use of a 35-square-meter land in Pakil was conducted by PCG District NCR – Central Luzon Commander, CG Commodore Hostillo Arturo E. Cornelio, and Pakil Mayor Vincent L. Soriano.

Once operational, the PCG Sub-Station Pakil will increase the Coast Guard’s presence in neighboring coastal communities and waters to better enforce maritime law, maritime security, maritime safety, and marine environmental protection.
