Joint elements of the Philippine Army’s 91st Infantry Battalion and the Philippine National Police’s 1st Police Mobile Force Company, Special Action Force, Bongabon Municipal Police Station, 303rd MC-RMFB3, and Criminal Investigation and Detection Group Nueva Ecija seized firearms and various war materials from a Communist Terrorist Group’s depot discovered in the hinterland of Brgy. Labi, Bongabon, Nueva Ecija on Monday, November 22, 2021.

The government forces seized an M16 rifle with magazine and ammunition, as well as an improvised landmine, rifle grenade, blasting caps, and other medical supplies, according to Lieutenant Colonel Reandrew P. Rubio, Commanding Officer of the 91st Infantry Battalion.

Meanwhile, Lt. Gen. Andres C. Centino, the Commanding General of the Philippine Army and concurrent Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces of the Philippines, praised the troops for their continued efforts in combating the insurgency threat.

“I commend the joint forces of 91IB and PNP in Nueva Ecija for the seizure of the CTG’s war materials. We need to disarm these bandits and stop their resource generation to render them insignificant and prevent them from attacking civilians and government forces,” Lt. Gen. Centino said.
