Earlier today, December 29, 2021, the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) Mobile Kitchen continued to deliver free lunch to 1,500 inhabitants of Barangay Tejero, Cebu City.

The AFP Mobile Kitchen, which is directly under the Field Service Group of the AFP Logistics Support Command, was deployed to the Joint Area of Operations (JOA) of the Visayas Command. The Mobile Kitchen was established to assist poor and most needy areas devastated by the disaster.

On Friday, December 24, 2021, the aforementioned Mobile Kitchen came in the city. Furthermore, on December 25 and 27, 2021, they began offering 3,000 hot meals every day in Barangays San Roque, Ermita, and Pasil.

Lieutenant General Robert Dauz, Commander, Visayas Command, aims to support this great cause by serving free breakfast, lunch, and dinner to the victims of Typhoon Odette, which devastated the Philippines on December 16, 2021.

“Your Visayas Command always look out for the welfare of our fellow Filipinos as we extend help in any possible way. Providing free meals might not be a long-term solution, but at least it could help alleviate the condition being felt by the people of Cebu from the wrath brought by the Supertyphoon Odette. We can do this! After all, Filipinos are resilient in whatever obstacles we face,” Dauz said.
