Navy patrol craft BRP Enrique Jurado delivers relief goods to Cataban, Calibutan Islands

Naval Forces Central on Sunday, December 26, 2021, deployed BRP Enrique Jurado (PC371) to Cataban and Calituban Islands in the municipality of Talibon, Bohol, to conduct a sealift and transport mission of various relief goods to typhoon-affected families.

A total of 1,460 food packs were transported from the Talibon local government unit to the Cataban and Calituban Islands. The hauling and loading of various relief goods was made easier by PC371, along with personnel from the Philippine Army’s 47th Infantry Battalion and local workers from Talibon LGU.

From Talibon Port to Cataban and Calituban Islands, the navy vessel also accommodated civilian local residents. Residents in the area were also given fresh water by BRP Enrique Jurado.

The Philippine Navy in the Visayas, in collaboration with local government units, other AFP Major Services, and other law enforcement agencies, continues to deliver essential relief goods, particularly to remote areas and other island municipalities in northern Bohol.
