7 drug personalities apprehended in Tawi-Tawi

The combined elements of the 212th Marine Company and Sitangkai Municipal Police Station on Monday, January 10, 2022, conducted a law enforcement operation in Barangay Panglima Alari, Sitangkai, Tawi-Tawi, which resulted in the arrest of seven drug personalities.

According to Brig. Gen. Romeo Racadio, Commander of Joint Task Force Tawi-Tawi, the seized individuals were identified as Jemar Jindi Julpakkal, Benhar Jamil Arub, Jorover Buksalan Lagayan, Yasser Apay Abdurasid, Hondi Pallugah Aguido, Jay-al Marajan Alamansa, and Almisal Abubakar Jumahali.

Four transparent plastic bags carrying a white crystalline substance thought to be shabu with a total estimated worth of P1,500.00, playing cards, and P10,946.00 in cash were seized from their hands.

All apprehended individuals were informed of their constitutional rights and sent to Sitangkai MPS for proper disposition and filing of criminal charges for violating RA 9165, often known as “The Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.” The evidence was turned over to the PDEA-BARMM for analysis and storage in a forensic laboratory.

“We strongly support and adhere to the policy and campaign of the current administration against the proliferation of illegal drug in the country,” Lt. Gen. Alfredo Rosario, Jr., commander of the Western Mindanao Command said.

“Rest assured that the WestMinCom will continue to support the anti-drug campaign of the government and the implementation of law enforcement agencies against illegal drug activities in the joint area of operations,” he added.
