A team from the Philippine Army’s Aviation Regiment and Artillery Regiment on January 13 and 14, 2022, flew two-day reconnaissance missions and proficiency training flights in the mountainous areas of Fort Magsaysay Military Reservation, the country’s largest military reservation, using the Robinson R44 helicopter.

Army teams flew over General Tinio and Laur in Nueva Ecija to identify potential live-fire practice sites for the Artillery Regiment. The purpose of the flight is to improve the flying skills of Army aviators in order to better prepare them for future operations.

Lt. Gen. Romeo S. Brawner, Jr., Commanding General, Philippine Army (CGPA), commends both Army units for working together to prepare Army troops for their assigned missions through enhancement development training. The Philippine Army intends to transform the Aviation Regiment into a modern and capable force.

“Soldiers are Army’s most important resource. Enhancing the competencies and skills of our troops will capacitate them in fulfilling combat and non-combat missions. With proper utilization of our resources, we can serve better, to the Filipino people,” the CGPA said.
