The North Luzon Command (NOLCOM) aided the Department of Health (DOH) and Aparri’s local government unit (LGU) in delivering the vaccine to one of Cagayan province’s islands in order to help speed up the reduction of COVID-19 cases in the country.
The Philippine Air Force (PAF) Tactical Operations Group 2 delivered 1,219 anti-COVID-19 vaccines to the residents of Fuga Island, an island barangay in Aparri town, Cagayan.
The PAF successfully delivered the vaccines, along with some DOH and LGU representatives on the island who will conduct the vaccinations, through NOLCOM Commander Maj. Gen. Andrew Costelo and PAF Tactical Operations Group 2 Lt. Col. Sadiri Tabutol.
They also brought three cartons of medicine and other supplies for the people, in addition to the COVID-19 vaccine.
According to Maj. Gen. Costelo, the North Luzon Command is ready to help and deliver assistance to completely eradicate the COVID-19 problem in the country.
Vaccines delivered to Fuga island include Jansen, Pfizer and Sinovac.
