A team from the 1st Civil-Military Operations Battalion (CMOB) delivered COVID-19 vaccine medical supplies from the Department of Health’s Regional Office in Zamboanga City to the Zamboanga del Sur Integrated Provincial Health Office (ZDS IPHO) on Monday, January 17, 2022.

Using two KM250 provided by the Tabak Division’s Service Support Battalion, 1st Lt. Lady Vee Gilvero and her team picked up boxes of auto disable syringes, safety collector boxes, and universal transport medium essential in administering the COVID-19 vaccine in the province.

On January 18, Dr. Dahlia Aseniero, the ZDS IPHO’s Health Education Promotion Officer (HEPO), delivered and received the products.

With the present pandemic, the 1st Infantry (Tabak) Division will continue to provide manpower and needed capabilities to assist its public and private sector partners and stakeholders in providing assistance to the public, particularly health workers.

The province of Zamboanga del Sur has been placed on Alert Level 3 due to an upsurge in COVID-19 infections. The Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-EID) declared a heightened alert level on January 16 that will extend through the end of the month.
