Philippine Navy brings relief cargoes to 9 Northern Bohol municipalities

Philippine Navy BRP Agta (LC290) transported assorted cargoes from Tagbilaran Port, Tagbilaran City, Bohol to municipalities of Northern Bohol from 19 to 24 January 2022 in support to the humanitarian assistance and disaster response and relief efforts in the Visayas.

The said relief items were donated by the Provincial Government of Bohol (PGBH). These comprised of bottled water (7,134 packs), face masks (170 boxes), family kits (500 boxes), and repair tool kits (270 set) with an approximate weight of 105 tons.

LC290 also transported personnel from PGBH and 47th Infantry Battalion, 3rd Infantry Division, Philippine Army who participated in the hauling and distribution of the relief goods to the different municipalities of northern Bohol.

BRP Agta successfully delivered the donated relief goods to the islets/islands of northern Bohol namely: Tubigon Port, Tubigon Bohol; Ambugan Island, Inabanga Bohol; Pandanon Island, Jetafe, Bohol; Nasingin Island, Jetafe, Bohol; Talibon Port, Talibon, Bohol; Sag Island, Talibon, Bohol; Cataban Island, Talibon, Bohol; Cataban Island, Talibon, Bohol; Nocnocan Island, Talibon, Bohol; Bilangbilangan, Talibon, Bohol; Ubay Port, Ubay, Talibon, Bohol; Hingotanan, Talibon, Bohol; Sagasa Island, Talibon, Bohol. The said relief operation depicts the AFP’s continuous efforts in support to the typhoon-affected municipalities of Bohol.

The Visayas Command, AFP, through Naval Forces Central, is one with the LGUs and partner stakeholders in bringing prompt, responsive and effective assistance to the communities affected by the onslaught of typhoon “Odette”.
