Philippine Navy delivers construction and relief supplies in Typhoon Odette-affected communities

Naval Forces Central utilizing landing craft BRP Tausug delivered donated construction supplies and relief goods from Mandaue Cebu to Maasin, Southern Leyte, and Surigao City, Surigao del Norte on February 19-20, 2022.

The supplies include 763 food packs, 808 hygiene boxes, 250 sanitation packs, 35 boxes of assorted construction tools, three generator sets, ten canvas rolls, 456 boxes of reading materials, 3 tons of various water bottles and containers, and other assorted relief items with a total weight of 60 tons.

The items were received by respective local government units of Surigao del Norte and Maasin, Leyte.

Through its field units, the AFP has continuously provided humanitarian assistance and disaster response since the onslaught of Typhoon Odette on December 16 last year.
