7 drug personalities apprehended; 136K worth of shabu seized in Lanao del Sur

Seven drug personalities were nabbed, while more or less 20 grams of Shabu and other drug paraphernalia were seized in a buy-bust operation conducted by the military and police in Barangay Tuka Kiadlan, Marantao, Lanao del Sur Monday, February 28, 2022.

According to Western Mindanao Command Chief Lt. Gen. Alfredo Rosario, Jr., the apprehended personalities were identified as Saokie Marakna Mala, a.k.a. Saoeki; Asnawi Musid Gontora, a.k.a. Abar; Ansano Musid Gontora, a.k.a. Alex; Jaber Dimao Mustapa, a.k.a. Taba; Abdul Kaher Gontora; Onaes Abdul Kader, a.k.a. Disomimba; and Gontora Musib Agar, a.k.a. Poso. They were arrested by combined elements of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Lanao del Sur (PDEA-LDS), PDEA RSET BARMM, Marantao Municipal Police Station, Lanao del Sur Provincial Police Office, Bacolod Kalawi Municipal Police Station, 1st Provincial Mobile Force Company, and the 51st Infantry Battalion.

Maj. Gen. Generoso Ponio, Commander of Joint Task Force ZamPeLan said the dismantling of the drug den also resulted in the seizure of more or less 20 grams of white crystalline substance believed to be “Shabu” with a national average value of P136,000.00.

Other confiscated items include one M14 7.62 rifle with magazine assembly and five live ammunition, one automatic sub-machine gun with magazine and five live ammunition, one genuine 1,000.00 peso bill as buy-bust money, two Samsung analog phones, various identification cards, weighing scale, brown leatherette wallet containing 250.00 pesos, black sling bag, black belt bag, and other drug paraphernalia.

Apprehended personalities and confiscated items were brought to LDS-PPO for filing of appropriate charges and proper disposition.

“The military continues to conduct law enforcement support operations with the police and other law enforcement agencies to prevent the proliferation of illegal drugs in the province of Lanao del Sur,” Lt. Gen. Rosario, Jr. assured.
