Naval Task Force 50 thru BRP Enrique Jurado (PC371) transported and unloaded 14 tons of assorted relief goods from Taha Foundation and Circulo Boholano De Cebu United Communities Inc. on March 3-4, 2022 to Talibon Port, Bohol.
The Taha M. Basman Memorial Islamic Foundation Inc. is a non-government organization that aims to address the educational requirements of children and adults displaced due to conflict in Mindanao areas. They engage in sustainable activities such as urban farming, livelihood, and social enterprise. Likewise, Circulo Boholano De Cebu United Communities Inc. is a non-profit organization of Boholanos in Cebu. It is headed by their president, Mr. Christopher R. Sapong, who supports and empowers their fellow Boholanos.
The said relief goods are composed of food items, bottled drinking water, and construction materials intended for affected families within municipalities of Bohol and received by respective representatives.
The Visayas Command, through Naval Forces Central, is one with the LGUs and partner stakeholders in bringing prompt, responsive, and effective assistance to the communities affected by the onslaught of Typhoon Odette.
