Troops from the 51st Mechanized Infantry (Mawarao) Company, 5th Mechanized Infantry (Kaagapay) Battalion, led by Captain Virgil Thomas Visabella (Cav) PA, Company Commander, conducted a medical mission at Brgy. Lapinig, Kapatagan, Lanao del Norte on March 11, 2022.
The medical mission provided free medical consultations and hygiene kits to the 103 residents of the abovementioned barangay. The Mawarao Company’s troops also offered a free haircut.
Furthermore, the troops offered security assistance not only to the volunteers and members of the stated partner stakeholders, but also to the attendees of the said activity.
The Army’s role is not solely focused on maintaining peace and order, but also on assisting those socially responsible organizations and stakeholders whose intentions and mandates are similar to the unit particularly in the delivery of basic services to those in desperate need of assistance in the areas of operations.
The medical mission is organized in collaboration with JCI Greenfields, headed by Mr. Jeoffy M. Fung, President of JCI Greenfields.
