Philippine Navy participates in mobile blood donation activity of Visayas Command

Naval Forces Central participated in the bloodletting activity of the Visayas Command, Armed Forces of the Philippines at Bondad Hall, Headquarters Visayas Command, Camp Lapu-Lapu, Apas, Cebu City on March 18, 2022.

The event was part of the pre-34th Founding Anniversary activities of Visayas Command which aims to address the need for equitable, safe, accessible, and adequate blood supply in Region VII. It was also in partnership with the Department of Health Central Visayas Center for Health Development (DOH CVCHD).

NFC provided volunteers from its subordinate units’ personnel from HNFC, Naval Installations Facility Central, Naval Reserve Center –Eastern Visayas through 821st Marine Company, Civil Military Operations Unit-Central, Naval Special Operations Unit – 5, Naval Finance Service Unit – Cebu, Naval Information and Communications Technology Station – Central, 5th Patrol Boat Division and BRP Batak (LC299).

The activity manifests the Command’s commitment to provide humanitarian assistance amid the ongoing pandemic. It is also a fulfillment of the mandate to serve the Filipino people especially in the Visayas region. It was conducted in adherence with IATF protocols on safety and health protocols against COVID-19 pandemic.
