Gov’t troops neutralize 2 illegal drug personalities in Cotabato

Together with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), operating troops of the 34th Infantry “Reliable” Battalion, 90th Infantry “Bigkis Lahi” Battalion, and 1st Scout Ranger “Unbeatable” Battalion, neutralized two illegal drug personalities during the conduct of a Joint Law Enforcement Security Operation last May 18, 2022 at Sitio Calumpungan, Brgy. Balacayon, Pigcawayan, Cotabato.

Neutralized illegal drug personalities were identified as Datu Romah Malang Mastura and Ebrahim Samama, said personalities reportedly escaped sometime in 2017 during a jailbreak in Cotabato Provincial Police Office (CPPO).

The government troops have also recovered two M16 Rifles, one M14 rifle, two Cal 45 pistols, bandolier, several ammunitions, illegal drugs paraphernalia and other war materials.

Army Commanding General Lt. Gen. Romeo S. Brawner, Jr., lauded the 602nd Infantry “Liberator” Brigade on their deliberate and timely execution of the operation and commend the excellent partnership with the Law Enforcement agencies in efforts to ensure a safe and peaceful community.

Lt. Gen. Brawner also acknowledged the residents’ efforts in extending their assistance to our troops in performing their sworn duty for our country. — PA
