Abu Sayaff Group yield to AFP in Sulu

A member of the Abu Sayaff Group (ASG) yielded to the 41st Infantry Battalion (41IB) in Maimbung, Sulu on May 27.

According to Lt. Col. James Erasmus F. Gagni, Commanding Officer of the 41IB, Solaiman Pattah, a resident of Barangay Anoling, Patikul, Sulu voluntarily surrendered to 41IB in Barangay Matatal, Maimbung of the same province.

“Pattah surrendered after series of negotiation. He also turned-over his M16 rifle, Lt. Col. Gagni said.

The surrendered ASG personality is currently at the custody of 41IB for interview and proper disposition. — AFP
