The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) seized high-powered firearms from the CPP-NPA Terrorist (CNT) in General Nakar, Quezon Province, on Wednesday, June 1, 2022.

Members of the Philippine Army’s 1st Infantry Battalion (1IB) seized an M16 rifle, hand grenade, anti-personnel mine, and subversive documents after an encounter with about 10 NPAs in Brgy. Magsikap.

The troops engaged in a five-minute firefight against the communist terrorists believed to be combined elements of two CNT groups led by Janice Javier and Noel Madregalejos.

The government forces are on pursuit operations to apprehend or capture the fleeing enemies. — AFP
