The Camp General Manuel T. Yan Senior Station Hospital (CGMTYSSH) started its pilot implementation of the “Alagang Agila Program” for all personnel and their dependents under the 10th Infantry “Agila” Division on June 1, 2022, in Paquibato District, Davao City.
The objective of the program is to provide quality health care services that are accessible to all Agila Troopers including Civilian Active Auxiliaries, dependents, and authorized civilians.
The 27th Infantry Battalion was the first unit that benefited from the Alagang Agila Program. Personnel and dependents of 27IB underwent medical consultations, laboratory services, COVID-19 vaccination, and psychological services. Likewise, CGMTYSSH conducted an information dissemination on Booster Vaccination and Lifestyle-related Disease Prevention to the beneficiaries.
Agila Division Commander MGen Nolasco A. Mempin lauded the initiative of the station hospital. He said that their dedication to their duty in providing quality health care to the troops further boosted the morale of all Agila Troopers.
“As our troops fight in the frontline, let us provide and deliver all the necessary support that they need. Together, let us continue to win the fight.” MGen Mempin added.
During the activity, 50 personnel benefited from free consultations, 20 availed laboratory services, 78 were vaccinated, and 40 received psychological services. — PA
