A total of 11 CPP-NPA Terrorists (CNTs) surrendered and turned-in six high-powered firearms and a low-powered firearm at the headquarters of the 1st Special Forces Battalion (1SFBn) in Barangay Mampayag, Manolo Fortich, Bukidnon on June 6, 2022.

The surrendered CNT combatants were part of the Platun Ipad, Platun Lenovo, and Platun Fury which operate in North Central Mindanao. 1SFBn attributed their surrender to intelligence-driven operations, deep psychological operations, and the series of unrelenting focused military operations.

The Army leadership lauded the 1SFBn, which is under the operational control of the 403rd Infantry Brigade, 4th Infantry Division, for facilitating the return to the folds of law of the eleven former CNTs.

Army Commanding General Lt. Gen. Romeo S. Brawner, Jr., lauded Special Forces operators and vowed to push-down ample resources to sustain their operations to attain inclusive and lasting peace in the communities. — PA
