7 BIFF members surrender to Philippine Army in Maguindanao

Seven Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Fighters (BIFF) members voluntarily surrendered and turned-in high-powered firearms to the 92nd Infantry Battalion, under the operational control of the 1st Brigade Combat Team (1BCT), in Sultan Kudarat, Maguindanao last June 13, 2022.

The surrendered BIFF members turned-in seven firearms, including a home-made cal. 50 sniper rifle, and ammunition during their formal surrender to 1BCT Commander Col. Leodivic Guinid. The surrenderers used to operate in the towns of Datu Salibo, Sultan Mastura, and Sultan Kudarat, all in Maguindanao.

Army Commanding General Lt. Gen. Romeo S. Brawner, Jr., lauded the 92IB troops for their steadfast dedication to attain the Army’s core mission of serving the people and securing the land. — PA
