2 CNT siblings lay down arms in Negros Oriental

Two CPP-NPA Terrorists (CNTs) siblings surrendered to the 11th Infantry “Lapu-lapu” Battalion of the 3rd Infantry “Spearhead” Division, through a joint operations with the 705th Maneuver Company Regional Mobile Force Battalion and Philippine National Police – Sta Catalina at Brgy. Nagbinlod, Sta Catalina, Negros Oriental today, June 15, 2022.

The rebels were identified as “Ka Daniel” and “Ka Aguilos” who entered the CNT group in 2015 and 2021 respectively. The two surrendered personallities are both members of the Local Guerrilla Unit in Brgy. Nagbinlod. Hunger, exhaustion, dismay to the leadership, and the continuous Focused Military Operations (FMO) of the government forces were the reasons that made them to surrender.

Army Commanding General Lt. Gen. Romeo S. Brawner, Jr., commended the 11IB and its PNP counterpart on their dedication and untiring effort which results to the successful surrender of the two CNTs in Negros Oriental.
