The Philippine Army (PA) concludes two-day Cybersecurity Summit geared at contributing to the command’s establishment of a credible cyberdefense posture on June 24, 2022 at the Philippine Army Officers Clubhouse, Fort Bonifacio, Metro Manila.

“To the Philippine Army, one of our greatest threats out there is, cyber. Thus, we need to fortify our defenses towards building a secure, reliable, and resilient cybersecurity posture,” Army Signal Regiment Commander Brig. Gen. Milton Y. Beset said in his remarks on behalf of Army Commanding General Lt. Gen. Romeo S. Brawner, Jr.

”In an environment full of intangibles, one way of having an edge is to continue learning and improving your capabilities. Study your gaps just as the enemies are looking for weaknesses to exploit. Fill in the gaps and develop ways to get ahead. Do not give the enemy a chance to penetrate our defenses,” Brig. Gen. Beset added.

The 2022 edition of the PA-wide Cybersecurity Summit is anchored on the theme “Resiliency in an Evolving Cybersecurity Landscape.” The two-day event spearheaded by the Office of the Assistant Chief of Staff for Command and Control, Communications, and Cyber Systems (OG6, PA) gathered around 100 key members of the PA Signal Corps, especially the Philippine Army Major Units’ G6s, Signal Battalion Commanders, and Information Systems Officers of Headquarters Philippine Army offices. — PA
