The collaboration between the Department of Social Welfare and Development – Field Office 9 (DSWD-FO 9) and the Philippine Army’s 53rd Infantry “Matapat” Battalion (53IB) extended humanitarian assistance to the flood-affected families in Molave, Zamboanga del Sur by helping turn over family food packs and other non-food items last July 7, 2022.

A total of 400 family food packs were initially provided to the families in the affected barangays of Molave.

In a statement, 53IB Commanding Officer Lt. Col. Jo-ar Herrera said the 53IB will continue to extend its hand to the families that need help.

“We will continue to conduct Disaster Response Operations to help and serve our fellow Filipinos who were severly hit by the flash flood,” said Lt. Col. Herrera. — 53IB
