Gov’t troops partake in medical mission in Iligan City

The 1st Civil-Military Operations (Mahigalaon) Battalion participates in a Medical Mission at the covered court of Brgy Digkilaan, Iligan City on July 24, 2022.

This activity was accomplished in partnership with Hon. Michelle E. Sweet, the City Councilor; Hon. Michelle I. Malasado, Chairwoman of Brgy. Digkilaan; Dr. Rodrigo Rodriguez; representatives and volunteers of AMAI PAKPAK Hospital, Ms. Gina Budgios of Rotary Club, Iligan City; Police Lt. Gil L. Pantinople of Police Station 6; 2nd Lt. Heben F. Edadez og 55Bn; and Tech. Sgt. Eduardo N. Samson of 4Mech.

1st Lt. John Michael H. Bautista of Bravo Company, 1CMOBn participated in providing these free services. These included an operation tuli, a free haircut, and a feeding program. The troops of Bravo Company also took the opportunity to distribute leaflets to those who are waiting in line. They explained to everyone the program of the government that assists former rebels return to their normal lives. This program is the ECLIP (Enhanced Comprehensive Local Integration Program).

It aims to provide benefits to surrendering members of the New People’s Army, so that they may get a second chance at the life they once lost upon being deceived into joining these rebel groups. — PA
