PH Navy in Eastern Mindanao spearheads medical outreach program in Tagum City

The Naval Forces Eastern Mindanao (NFEM) through Civil Military Operations Unit Eastern Mindanao (CMOU-EM) in collaboration with various partner stakeholders spearheaded the Medical Outreach Program at Barangay Madaum, Tagum City on August 13, 2022.

Residents of Barangay Madaum benefitted from the various free services offered during the program, wherein 114 availed of the free medical check-up, 110 underwent free tooth extraction, 213 were circumcised through the operation “tuli,” 170 persons took advantage of the feeding program, and 150 underwent eye check-up with free reading glasses with the total of 787 beneficiaries.

These activities are part of the inter-agency collaboration in support to EO 70 “Whole of Nation Approach” which aims to bring medical and dental health services closer to the residents of Barangay Madaum which is essential in attaining lasting peace and development in NFEM area of responsibility.

The Medical Outreach Program was made possible with the unwavering support of Davao Central Seventh-Day Adventist Church, Prosight Optical Inc., Camp Panacan Station Hospital (CPH), 1001st “Pag-Asa” Brigade, 10ID, Philippine Army, Naval Reserve Center-Eastern Mindanao, 28th IB, Philippine Army, 71st Naval Group Reserve, 920th “Spartan” Marine Company Reserve, City Health Office of Tagum City, Unifrutti Philippines Inc., Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO), Barangay Health Workers Madaum, and Barangay Madaum Council. — PN
