A ‘Serbisyo Caravan’ was delivered here in Langil Island, Barangay Langil and Sibago Island, Barangay Sibago in two separate activities conducted by the collaborative efforts of 15th Special Forces Company and the Local Government of Hadji Mohammad Ajul headed by Mayor Ibrahim Ballaho last November 27 and December 3, 2020, respectively, where they delivered the much needed medical and social services to all constituents in the community.

Services provided by the soldiers and volunteers include medical consultation with free medicines and vitamins, a feeding program, a children’s check-up, a seminar for pregnant women with the distribution of ‘buntis kits,’ circumcision, coastal cleanup, and parlor games for the kids.

According to Cpt Sherwin Latiera, the Commanding Officer of 15SFC, the activity intends to bring the services of the government closer to the underserved and isolated communities, which is also aligned to the LGU’s thrust of ‘One Team, One Goal, One Ajul.’

“Dahil sa pagkakaisa at pagtutulungan ng lahat ng mga ahensya ng lokal na pamahalaan at mga lider sa barangay, napapaabot natin ang ganitong mga serbisyo sa komunidad. At ang kasundalohan ay higit na sumusuporta sa ganitong mga inisyatiba”, Cpt Latiera expressed.

Also present during the activity were the volunteers from the Municipal Health Office headed by Dr. CJ Bulawe, the SB members, SK federations, other heads of offices, and barangay leaders. — Philippine Army
