Considerably a rare crossover, the former beauty queen is now enlisted as a Philippine Army (PA) personnel.

Chery Rose Lomopog, who represented the town of Sugbongcogon, Misamis Oriental in last year’s Miss Kuyamis Beauty Pageant, where she placed 3rd runner up, has fulfilled her dream of becoming a soldier of the PA.

In a recent Facebook post with her army photo, Lomopog said: “The hardships I’ve been through from the training was not easy. I was ready and excited but I didn’t expect possible things to happen. From this battle, I discovered more things about myself and it’s rewarding. Circumstances, stress, and pain may occur, but I still stood up and continued for what God destined for me.”

“My family was my strength and the source of my inspiration, whenever you felt empty and the reason why I’m still holding on. The experienced was limitless and brought me from realization. From that moment, it changed me for all the sacrifices exerted it was all worthy. And now the long wait is over I could finally gain what I’ve strived and pursued. And I am proud to say I made it! I conquer it all! Moreover, it is just the beginning of my milestone and another to start over ahead in the future,” Lomopog added.

Meanwhile, in the photo below, Lomopog is shown holding a rifle during last year’s Philippine Independence Day army exhibit.
